Jason Pernat

Jason Pernat

Jason is a KAPAP instructor certified by the KAPAP ACADEMY. At KAPAP COMBATIVE CONCEPTS Jason assists in KAPAP classes and conditioning training, as well as with the training of the MMA Classes.

Jason has been actively training and teaching for the last 25 years. Having wrestled in the heavyweight division for the Wisconsin Badgers from 1997-2001, the highlight of his college wrestling career included qualifying for the Division I NCAA tournament in 2000. In addition, Jason served as an assistant coach at UW Whitewater, WI from 2006-2008. Jason brings a vast amount of expertise to the art of wrestling and MMA ground fighting.

Jason is also Personal Protection specialist and works as an Executive Protection agent for Protection Resources International, LLC.

Justin Hanlin

Justin Hanlin

Justin Hanlin is the head instructor of the MMA classes at KAPAP Combative Concepts. Justin have been actively training and teaching for the last 12 years.

Justin is trained in Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, American Kenpo Karate, and Juijitsu, holding a 7-0 record with 3 knock outs at the International Kickboxing Federation. Justin teaches Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and is also an ACE certified Fitness Trainer. Having trained with Jerry Maccelli in Kickboxing, with UFC/MMA fighter Clay Guida and MMA trainer Alex Trujillo in Mixed Martial Arts and at the Midwest Training Center, Justin possesses many years of experience in fighting, coaching and fitness training.

Master Chu has studied Taekwondo since he was 8 years old. A fourth degree black belt, Master Chu has been teaching martial arts since 1995.

“My goals in the martial arts are to expand knowledge of Taekwondo in anyone who is willing to learn, and to help people experience all of its benefits while expanding my knowledge of the martial arts.” – Master Chu

Highlights of Master Chu’s professional career:

  • '86 - W.M.A.A. Taekwondo championship - 1st place
  • '86 - Wisconsin Governor's Cup - 1st place
  • '86 - 7th Midwest Championship - 1st place
  • '87 - Yun's 10th Annual Championship - 1st place
  • '87 - Taekwondo Championship - 1st place
  • '88 - 9th Midwest Championship - 1st place
  • Since 1998, head judge in every Taekwondo tournament.
